The McKenzie River

Boat Options: Driftboat, Sweepboat

The McKenzie is a clear, active stream whose watershed is filtered by thousands of acres of Douglas Fir forest. Mike Gehrman, your host, began fishing and floating this river using the traditional Mckenzie driftboat in 1958. Come share the river he grew up with. Fly fish for native rainbows or catch and keep a few hatchery rainbows for a streamside lunch.
